A leading tourism organization that connects the world to Korea and brings happiness to the Korean people.
I am Sunghyeuck Park, the 27th President of the Korea Tourism Organization
The Korea Tourism Organization was established to contribute to the national economy and enhance the quality of life for our citizens by fostering the tourism industry, activating domestic travel, and attracting international visitors.
After overcoming the unprecedented crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, Korea achieved a record-breaking number of international visitors in 2025. Building on this milestone, we are now moving toward a new national goal: attracting 30 million international tourists.
To realize this vision, the KTO will focus on the following four priorities.
First, we will build a “Tourism Korea” desired by the world. By strengthening global marketing linked with K-Culture and expanding customized promotional activities tailored to the characteristics of each market, we aim to inspire more international visitors to discover Korea and create unforgettable memories.
Second, we will accelerate the digital and AI (artificial intelligence) transformation in the tourism industry. Leveraging AI technologies, we will enhance tourism information platforms so that travelers can easily access the information they need in one place, while continuously improving convenience through personalized travel services.
Third, we will create a tourism environment that our citizens can truly experience and enjoy. By transforming hidden tourism resources across Korea into attractive contents and expanding domestic travel benefits, we will enable everyone to experience the value of tourism in their everyday lives.
Fourth, we will strengthen the foundation for a sustainable tourism industry ecosystem. Through communication and cooperation with industry stakeholders, we will build a win-win network and play a leading role in driving shared growth across the tourism sector.
The Korea Tourism Organization will cultivate tourism as a future growth engine to enhance national competitiveness and become a leading agency that brings the world to Korea and happiness to our citizens.
We ask for your continued interest and support.
Thank you.
