  • Boosting domestic travel demand through large-scale campaigns and vacation subsidies for workers.
  • Dispersing domestic travel demand and boosting regional spending through targeted accommodation support in non-capital regions.
  • Creating stay-based regional tourism and local economic impact by identifying and marketing workation facilities.

Establishing a regional-based sustainable tourism ecosystem

  • Attracting tourism-based living populations and addressing the regional extinction crisis by supporting visitor spending in depopulating regions.
  • Enhancing sustainability by strengthening the expertise and self-sufficiency of regional DMOs and increasing resident participation through the Tourism Dure program.

Discovering and fostering region-specific tourism content

  • Expanding the base of tourism participation by discovering and commercializing specialized regional content such as oceans, islands, science, sports, and festivals.
  • Enhancing tourism accessibility for all citizens by improving barrier-free tourism environments and boosting support for vulnerable groups.
  • Identifying and promoting high-potential regional destinations and showcasing outstanding domestic tourism resources that contribute to Korea’s tourism development.
