Implementation Directions

Strengthen domestic marketing

  • (Add vitality to provinces through tourism) Strengthen grounds for business by developing measures to leverage tourism as a means to increase the living population in response to regional population extinction
  • (Promote extended stay travel in provinces) Launch a large-scale domestic tour campaign to boost the demand for domestic tours and spending during overnight tours in provinces
  • (Establish eco-friendly travel culture) Pursue a campaign jointly participated by the public and the tourism sector to establish a low-carbon and sustainable tourism ecosystem, and raise awareness of eco-friendly travel culture

Strengthen regional contents

  • Vitalize regional tourism by supporting the development of tourism hub cities and reinforcing overseas promotion and marketing
  • Vitalize regional economy by nurturing destination marketing/management organizations (DMOs), searching for investible resources, and enhancing the attractiveness of regional tourism
  • Develop an eco-friendly “K-festival” industry to improve the quality of regional festivals
  • Promote balanced development of regional tourism by vitalizing night tourism and camping tourism
  • Discover more diverse charms of tourism by promoting traveling with pets and leisure and sports-based tourism

Tourism Welfare and Enhanced Safety

  • (Create vacation culture for workers) Create guilt-free vacation culture at work and vitalize regional tourism by supporting vacation expenses for small business owners and SMEs.
  • (Create a barrier-free tourism environment) Create new travel demand and realize tourism welfare by creating an environment where everyone, including the disabled, the elderly, pregnant women, and families with infants and toddlers, can travel
  • (Establish a foundation for safe tourism) Lay foundation for safe and worry-free travel for everyone as the demand for travel increases and the importance of safety grows
